Brian Terry was stalked and killed by illegal aliens on patrol

Border Patrol agent Brian Terry, who was shot and killed on December 14, 2010, had been stalked along with other Border Patrol agents by an armed group of illegal aliens northwest of Nogales, Arizona. The illegals, carrying AK-47 rifles, had been specifically searching for Border Patrol agents with the goal to “intentionally and forcibly assault” them. When the agents spotted the illegals and ordered them to drop their weapons, they failed to comply. The agents then fired shotgun beanbag rounds, and the illegals returned fire with their rifles. Brian Terry was shot in the back and died at the scene. Two of the rifles found at the scene were determined to be from the ATF’s failed Operation Fast and Furious.

The Border Patrol agents then fired at the illegals, hitting one and taking him into custody. The other illegals fled the area. The illegal in custody, Manuel Osorio-Arrellanes, 33, is a felon convicted of aggravated assault in Phoenix in 2006. He had been deported to Mexico several times and detained at least twice in 2010. The information in this story comes from a second-degree murder indictment against Arrellanes. The indictment is now sealed, as is the judge’s reason for sealing it. I suppose it’s unnecessary to point out that there’s a Presidential election coming up, and the details of this case would not be good publicity for the current occupant of the White House.

Border Patrol ends routine transportation checks on the northern border

The Border Patrol has been doing routine transportation checks for the past 60 years. Agents would patrol bus and train stations and airports near the border, questioning people who appeared to be suspicious. The program was highly effective, catching thousands of illegals every year. But in September, Border Patrol field offices received the order that the transportation checks were to be stopped. Apparently this is part of the Obama administration’s policy to allow illegals to remain in the country if they haven’t committed crimes. The action may be due to pressure from the ACLU and the open borders crowd. Agents may respond to transportation hubs if they have “actionable intelligence” that there’s an illegal alien there, but there is no information about how such intelligence might be obtained, and the agents would require permission from Border Patrol headquarters in Washington, D.C.

Congressional panels fight to give the Border Patrol access to the border

Once again the United States is hamstrung by its own restrictive laws and immobilized by activists who use the courts as a weapon against their fellow citizens. In this case, the Border Patrol is not allowed to travel in certain areas on US soil due to environmental regulations. And of course, guess where the illegals go.

Zack Taylor, a retired Border Patrol agent who lives about nine miles from the Arizona-Mexico border, said smugglers soon learn the areas that agents are least likely to frequent.

“The (smuggling) route stays on public lands from the border to Maricopa County,” Taylor said, referring to the state’s most populous county. “The smugglers have free rein. It has become a lawless area.”

The human and drug smugglers are allowed safe passage, monitored by illegals on watch for law enforcement.

Sen. John McCain, R-Ariz., sponsored an amendment that requires the Agriculture and Interior departments to give Border Patrol personnel immediate access to federal lands on the southern border for security activities, including for routine motorized patrols. The amendment passed a Senate committee with the support of five Democrats and eight Republicans.
McCain told colleagues that up to 100 people sit on mountaintops near the border serving as lookouts for smugglers, suggesting that improved law enforcement access on those mountains would deter the lookouts.

The sad footnote to this story is that the environmental damage is being done by the illegals themselves, who leave tons of trash in our deserts on their way north, and are not hampered by the environmental laws that are facilitating their travel. Let’s hope that common sense prevails and we can fix this problem.

Democratic Governor ignores federal program, allowing illegal alien to kill motorcyclist

Here is yet another tale of death and destruction perpetrated by an illegal alien, this time aided by yet another grandstanding politician hoping to win votes. Nicolas Guaman, an illegal from Ecuador, decided to go out driving while intoxicated in Milford, Massachusetts in August of 2011. He struck and killed a young man on a motorcycle, dragging him for a quarter of a mile before stopping. Guaman’s criminal record should have flagged him for deportation some time ago, but his accomplice in the crime, Democratic Governor Deval Patrick, decided back in June of 2011 that Massachusetts would not participate in a federal program called Secure Communities. The program allows state and local law enforcement agencies to forward arrestee fingerprints to Homeland Security to check for immigration violations.

Of course, we don’t know for sure that participation in the program would have changed the outcome. But what we do know is that Homeland Security never got Guaman’s fingerprints after his earlier arrests, so he wasn’t deported, and now a young man is dead who might have been alive if not for political posturing. Governor Patrick stated that he didn’t want to join the federal program because it “casts too wide a net,” causing immigrants with no criminal histories to be deported. I’m sure this stance makes illegals like Nicolas Guaman happy that they are allowed to remain in the country, but maybe we should ask the grieving family and friends of the young motorcyclist if it gives them a warm fuzzy feeling.

Drunken illegal viciously assaults nurse in toilet stall

Mbarek Lafrern, an illegal alien from Morocco, got blind drunk in a Manhattan bar on March 11, 2010, and perpetrated a sadistic and brutal assault on a young nurse. He followed her into the bathroom, broke into the stall where she was sitting, and … well, you can click this link to see what he did. The assault was so serious that they found her blood on the bed sheets in his hotel room. He will spend 16 years in prison, after which he will be deported to Morocco where he can probably treat the women in his home country exactly the same way, but get away with it.

Here’s a great demonstration of why we say we are not just anti-Mexican or anti-Latino. Anyone in our country should be here legally. We don’t care where they came from or what language they speak, and there is no racism in our desire to abide by the rule of law.

Wanted illegal hits girl with pickup truck

35-year-old Wanderson DaSilva-Neto backed his pickup out of the driveway in Newburyport, Massachusetts on September 28, 2011 and hit a little 11-year-old girl who was riding her bike to school. Police discovered that he has no US driver’s license, he is an illegal alien, and he is wanted by Immigrations and Customs Enforcement (ICE). Authorities aren’t even sure they have his true name yet, so he’s being held without bail. It turns out that he has been living in Ipswich for six years now, and he has four children in Brazil. Let’s send him back there to get reacquainted with them.

Illegal alien murders his family, fails at suicide

September 5, 2011, Lawrence, Massachusetts. Dominican Republic illegal alien Jose Luis Tejada is becoming irritated at hearing his girlfriend and her two teenaged children “yell and complain” in their public housing project apartment. Rather than trying to reason with them or going outside to take a long walk, he pulls out a .357 magnum revolver and shoots Milka Rivera, 39, and her two children, Sachary Montanez, 19, and Max Ariel Montanez, 16 in the head. Then he puts the gun to his own head and pulls the trigger, but he has shot the gun dry, so instead of going “bang,” it goes “click.” He is being held without bail.

Dagoberto Ruiz-Barrios, 40 years old, wanted by the New York State Police for the rape of a six-year-old girl. He was indicted by a grand jury during the last week in August. Investigators think he may be in Tennessee.

Illegal alien driving drunk kills four people

Illegal alien Roberto Castillo, 19, piloting his big pickup truck down the road under the influence of alcohol, plowed into a Mustang on August 21, 2011 in Brenham, Texas. The four people in the Mustang died at the scene while Castillo ran into a nearby mobile home park and tried to hide.

Castillo had been arrested on July 30 for drunken driving, but was released back into the community. Apparently he didn’t learn his lesson, so four people are dead. Part of the blame rests squarely on the shoulders of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) who, according to local law enforcement, wouldn’t take custody of him:

“At that time, ICE was only taking Class B and above (offenders). This was a Class C misdemeanor.”

Career criminal illegal arrested after car chase, injury

On August 14, 2011 police stopped 25-year-old Juan Tello Flores for suspicion of drunken driving. He fled the scene. Officers chased his vehicle until he crashed into two other cars. The crash resulted in one person being injured. He had gone back to Mexico 15 times too, like the guy in the previous story, although 12 of the returns were voluntary and three were deportations. So he is in jail for felony evading with injury, resisting arrest, drunken driving, felony hit and run, and driving on a suspended license. He had been arrested five times before for drunken driving. What is it with the illegals and driving drunk?
